Due to the COVID 19 pandemic and wanting to always maintain a safe, fun, and memorable event, we will have to cancel this years Swine and Dine festival. We hope to see you all in 2021 and keep an eye on our page tomorrow and the local businesses around Paxton for a chance to make next year the best ever!
Notified today that the HOOAH BBQ Competition in June has been cancelled. Stay tuned for updates.
The Mahomet craft beer and BBQ festival has been postponed. Considering dates in June or July, however a lot of unknown still out there. So stay safe, stay at home, and respect others. If a new date is set we will announce as soon as we know.
2020 Mahomet Craft Beer and BBQ Fesrival
Saturday May 2nd
Kids bbq comp - ages 7-14- anything pork, turn in at least 5 individual pieces for judging. NO Garnish Turn in time is 12:00pm. Trophies to places 1-3
Peoples Choice- 3 racks of baby back ribs, cut into individual ribs, for the public to judge. Tickets for the public will go to the “give me 5” charity. This helps feed young kids, who are in need, during weekends or time away from school. Very important to help the communities that host our bbq families. This also allows the public to be a part of the competition and be a judge, for this portion of the comp. Turn in is 3:00 pm
Trophies and cash for places 1-3
Backyard competition chicken and ribs
Chicken- at least 6 individual pieces for judging/ NO Garnish.... meat only in the turn in box... turn in time is 1:00pm. Trophies and cash for places 1-5
Ribs- at least 6 individual rib pieces for judging/ NO Garnish.... meat only in the turn in box.... turn in time is 2:00pm. Trophies and cash for places 1-5
Overall combined points on backyard competition ONLY, will win Grand Champion, w a trophy and more cash.

Changes for 2020...After much consideration, CIBCC has decided to focus our knowledge & experience on building area competitions. With that being said the Central Illinois Backyard Championship Circuit page will post area competition dates and information ONLY.
We appreciate the last 3 years with all participating teams and will continue to assist competitions when available. We look forward to seeing you in Mahomet, Clinton, and Mansfield. If any other BBQ Competitions are announced, please feel free to post any information.

Saturday August 17. Cash payouts over $1400 and trophies. Includes kids competition, and backyard competition w chicken and ribs.
Grand champion- $300
1st in each category- $200
2nd- $150
3rd- $100
4th- $75
5th- $50
Also public voting on decorative cooking sites for trophies. Show off your favorite sports teams, college or high schools, favorite military branch... Be creative, tasteful, and have fun!!
