Gotta brag about this fella for a second.. when a local food truck had to unexpectedly cancel for the first day of the new Wednesday night Rivermont Farmer's Market, Chef stepped up to the plate to provide a food option. Oh, yeah, he did this with about 3 hours notice. What a rockstar!!! 😍🤩

A completed prep list taped to the cabinet could only mean one thing... it's time for our next ChefKnut Private Dinner Party!!! 👨‍🍳

In September, our 6-course dinner party for 6 was an auction item up for bid at the Park View Community Mission Annual Fundraising Gala. This prize was a 🔥HOT🔥 ticket item - bringing in a final bid of $3,250!!!! It even beat out a trip to Rome 🏛 which sold for $3k. We are still blown away by this response and can't wait to serve the kind and generous folks who won this meal - in just a couple hours! 🥗🥕🥘

What a trooper! MamaChefKnut (and PappyChefKnut too!) Traveled all the way here from Mississippi to be on the competition team! Last year she conquered an orchards worth of Brussels Sprouts.. now she's a certified official professional pimento cheese sammich maker! Reckon we can let her take a lil snoozy snooze before the main event. 😴 🍲 🥪

Also, HUGE shout out to our friends at Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church at 5810 Memorial Ave LYH for letting us take over their amazing kitchen space to get this big job done! 👏 👏 👏

🧑‍🍳 Chef life lesson: sometimes your tools just don’t measure up—literally. One of Michael’s courses for the competition is a roasted tomato bisque, and he rented a massive pot to make it happen. The only problem? His trusty “large” spoon suddenly looked like a toothpick in there. Solution: run to the Chef store for something bigger. The only option? A spoon the size of a boat paddle—about five feet long. It’s hilarious to see the before-and-after comparison, but it’s also a reminder that being a chef means adapting on the fly. Plans change, equipment surprises you, and sometimes you just have to stir the pot with a canoe oar and keep moving forward.
