Some love the computer work but for me it is a necessary evil! It is a must but I don't get much enjoyment out of it.... other than checking the box to mark the chore done! Happily off to diligence in the dirt and work up a sweat

It's bittersweet to say goodbye to the peonies for the year, but I'm already looking forward to their return next season!

This bouquet features my new favorite filler flower: *Orlaya grandiflora*, commonly known as white lace flower. They truly resemble miniature lace-capped hydrangeas.

We've learned a few things about growing this flower that I wanted to share:

* They thrive when direct-sown in the garden.
* Prepare a finely textured seedbed.
* Sprinkle seeds on the bed in the fall or very early spring.
* Barely cover the seeds (no more than 1/4 inch).
* Water them in after planting.
* Keep the soil consistently watered through germination.
* Thin plants to one every 3-6 inches.
* They bloom from early June until the first hard frost (28 degrees Fahrenheit or below).

They are pollinator magnets, feeding all types of pollinators. Great to interplant veggies with these flowers.

Hope this is helpful for your own garden!
