An expecting, first-time mom with her furry best friend by her side, ready to be with her every step of the journey - she can’t wait for the two of them to meet, to grow up together.

A soon-to-be momma, that has experienced loss in one too many forms and wants something to remember her soul dog, to wrap her baby, and herself, around in comfort.

august-kentucky-and all the artist things in between —> its been a couple months since i lost my full time job and its taken me a bit to get myself together but the last few weeks ive really settled into this awareness of pure contentment with not having my corporate job - more than ever i feel that suite hive is my end all be all goal, continue the “becoming” of the artist and entrepreneur i want to be

tonights solo date night at Painted Horse Winery with this handsome mr. rooster 🐓 he was such a character, quite literally watching me paint like he was studying every brush stroke

i helped him dig some corn pieces out of the wood planks and he gave me some very encouraging rooster crows - it was a win win situation for sure
•
ive loved Painted Horse Winery for so long for the solitude, live music, w**e and mostly, the horses but this adventure was extra special with this unexpected buddy
•
the perfect solo date night spot - i also tried their new rosé, Lucy Goosey where all proceeds go directly to The Painted Horse Foundation, a charitable organization supporting families facing pregnancy, infant, and child loss 🪽

taking my sketchbook and watercolors with me everywhere has been like a comfort blanket of sorts but it didnt start out that way… it was a way to get me out my phone when i was traveling. Especially when i was alone traveling for work, being able to do something that occupied my time while also getting my head out of a screen and taking in the world around me.
•
Ever since, i notice things differently… buildings, people, landscapes and all the little details in between.
I remember trips differently.
I got to a point where i loved getting out of my comfort zone, telling a hostess that i only wanted a table for one or finding the perfect picnic table for my set up.
I started to realize that not every sketch needs to be perfect, in fact the less i try to perfect the tiniest details, the better i feel mentally and emotionally, its freeing to know its just for me.
I’ve made a lot more art since i stopped waiting for the perfect time to make it. Its not about the perfect place or moment, it just about embracing it whenever you can 🎨🫶🏼
