Este nexo se origina en la antigua familia Peverell, una de las familias más viejas y legendarias del mundo mágico. No es un parentesco cercano ni tiene implicaciones directas en su relación, pero a nivel simbólico es muy potente, porque conecta a ambos desde mucho antes de que existieran como rivales.

Los tres hermanos Peverell —Antioch Peverell, Cadmus Peverell y Ignotus Peverell— son figuras clave porque representan el origen de las Reliquias. Según la leyenda, cada uno obtuvo un objeto único: Antioch la Varita de Saúco, Cadmus la Piedra de la Resurrección e Ignotus la Capa de Invisibilidad. Más allá del mito, lo importante es que estas reliquias pasaron a través de generaciones, creando distintas ramas familiares que llegan hasta personajes actuales.

Por el lado de Harry, su linaje proviene de Ignotus Peverell, el hermano que eligió una vida más humilde y prudente. La Capa de Invisibilidad se mantuvo en su familia durante generaciones hasta llegar a él, lo que lo convierte en heredero directo de esa línea. En cambio, Voldemort desciende de Cadmus Peverell a través de la Gaunt family, quienes conservaron la Piedra de la Resurrección dentro de su anillo familiar. Esto no solo conecta a Voldemort con las reliquias, sino que también refuerza su obsesión con la inmortalidad y su intento de desafiarla.

Este vínculo no se menciona en las películas, pero en los libros añade una capa narrativa muy interesante. No es que sean familia cercana, sino que ambos provienen de una misma raíz antigua que representa dos formas completamente opuestas de entender el poder. Uno busca dominarla a cualquier costo, el otro termina aceptándola. Esa conexión le da aún más profundidad a su enfrentamiento, porque no solo es una lucha de presente… también es un eco de un pasado compartido.
