Cameron French (he/him) is a Louisville-based wedding photographer documenting real and unplanned moments on film and polaroid.

“I am a Louisville-based wedding photographer with a documentary approach. My focus and intent on a wedding day is to give couples the space to be themselves, allowing them to experience the day as they should. I'm looking for those real, often unplanned, moments that really show the couple's unique personalities. The result is a timeless collection of photos of how it all really felt. I use various camera formats, such as 35mm film, 120, polaroid, as well as digital. I primarily document weddings in Louisville but also serve the surrounding areas, such as Nashville, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Lexington.”

“All couples, regardless of their race, religion, or gender expression/identity, should feel affirmed and celebrated throughout the wedding planning process and on the wedding itself and deserve to have vendors that will fully support them in that process. I remember a time when skin tones were an afterthought and representation in wedding media was overwhelmingly white-washed, ableist, materialistic, and heteronormative. I am so THRILLED to see our community making strides in making things better. "For 170 years, tintype photographers have created images in metal and silver that last lifetimes. I use original recipes, antique lenses, and a mobile darkroom to make portraits that can be passed down through generations. Honor yourselves and fellow celebrants with portrait sessions at my Louisville studio or on-site at your ceremony or reception. Studio sessions make great wedding party gifts and a memorable gathering before the ceremony. Each hand-poured plate takes 5-10 minutes to make. If I bring my mobile tintype studio to your big day, attendees may sign up for a time slot. Depending on the size of your event, a portion of your guests would get their images made in tintype. For instance, I made 50 plates at a recent 3-hour wedding reception. Everyone will see the entire process from coating a plate to developing the image, and each participant will receive their plates and a high-resolution scan after the event."
