A few memories from Zena and Nicholas’s big day at Castle in the Clouds in New Hampshire🏰

I’ve found that as a photographer you can really only plan so much when it comes to weddings. On the wedding day for Zena and Nicholas, we were all constantly adapting to a rapid back-and-forth change of bright blue skies and ominous, fast-moving, clouds… I swear the storms circled around the Castle without a single rain drop falling on anything.

Zena and Nicholas stayed cool and didn’t stress too much which facilitated a seamless wedding day. So, from my research at 75+ weddings, I’ve found that it’s best to embrace the uncertainty instead of stress over it. I promise, it makes a good photo.

Also, I am officially in Boulder, Colorado! I am only taking a few east-coast weddings in 2024. The rest will hopefully be out here! Looking forward to taking some rest from this year’s busy wedding season and planning for another one next year (in Colorado!)

The details are what keep the story alive.

I think one of the biggest things I struggle with as a wedding photographer is feeling comfortable enough to really let my style shine through. I’ve found that at weddings where I vibe with the clients and feel like I have a layer of comfort around the bride and groom, the photos really speak for themself. So this is reminder to get to know your photographer at least a little bit before your big day! They shouldn’t be like a stranger you have to invite to your wedding. An engagement shoot, a coffee date, a catch-up Zoom: I’m here and very excited for it💛
Sydney and Brody’s wedding was one where I felt excited and happy and comfortable. And the photos reflect those good feelings:)

Drove 2 hours to get to Plum Island, but I got to meet Lauren and Ryan before their weekend next fall!! They are fannnntastic😎

Perfect. Fall. Day. Soon the leaves will be gone up in NH and things start to take on a more spooky look until we get the first real snowfall in late November🎃
It was so nice to meet Sam and Joe before I make the trek back east (from Colorado) for their big day next year. They are fantastic. I feel very lucky to have couples that are easygoing and fun like these two.

On another note, if anyone has any Colorado recommendations on things to do/living suggestions please DM me! Moving in March!
