Full Circle Friday: Maddie

Watching Maddie grow up right alongside my own has been one of the sweetest blessings. From two little kids just a few months apart to walking the graduation stage together, she’s always felt like part of our family.
Now she’s off chasing her dreams in college, and I couldn’t be more proud of the beautiful, kind young woman she’s become.
Time flies, but these full-circle moments hit different.

Full Circle Friday: Ryan

Some stories behind the camera hit a little deeper. Ryan’s mom and I go way back! We met in 2009, working together in an office that was no stranger to the crazy, dramatic, and a little traumatizing. No names will be given to protect the not-so-innocent! 😂😂 But somewhere along the craziness she became one of my very best friends! The kind you can count on, laugh and cry with, and have those long, soul healing conversations that somehow make everything feel lighter.

Watching her firstborn grow up has been such a joy. From our first session in 2014 to his senior photos in 2022, Ryan has always carried the same kindness and big heart his mom has. Feeling extra thankful today for her friendship and for being trusted to capture these full-circle moments.

& as an added bonus: IT’S HER BIRTHDAY TODAY!!

Happiest birthday, my beautiful friend! Your strength, humor, and heart inspire me more than you know. I’m beyond grateful God placed you in my life all those years ago!! For the laughter, the deep talks, and the way you always show up with love. ♥️♥️

Full Circle Friday: Erik
My son’s childhood bestie and one of the sweetest full-circle moments yet.

He never really wanted to be in front of my camera, but he always did it for his momma. & even when he didn’t want to be there, he was respectful and polite every single time. That’s just who he is.

I love this kid as if he was my own. Now he’s off to college, and it’s wild how fast those years of football, sleepovers and running up and down the streets flew by. Watching him grow up has been such a gift.

Every time she’s in front of my camera, there’s no shortage of fun and magic. Full of laughter, color, and heart, her sessions have been some of the most memorable (and challenging) to date. But I adore this girl and will pull every rabbit out of my little hat for her any chance I get. Watching her story unfold has been the best kind of joy. Thank you for trusting me with a couple of your big moments

Just a little 2015 sparkle that never saw the spotlight. Some sessions age like fine wine (or gold sequins ✨). This beauty made every frame feel like sunshine!! Which is saying something, because it was actually freezing that day.

Full Circle Friday: Mack

My very first session with her was back in 2015, when she was the face of my new branding with the launch of “Amanda Arms Photography.” That session was a styled shoot created just for my brand new website and name change from “A.L.Arms Photography.”

Since then, I’ve had the joy of photographing her senior portraits running around downtown Louisville, and again in 2022 as she graduated from the University of Kentucky running around Lexington. 💙🎓

It’s wild how much can change in front of and behind the camera! But what a blessing it’s been to grow alongside the people who helped me build this dream from the very start.
