Hailing from Oakland, California has secured her place as a powerhouse in the underground bass music scene by working behind the curtain as the creator of CouchFam and Bay Area Bass Scene. An avid underground music collector and aficionado, khariszma amassed a notable Soundcloud following long before touching a mixer because of her meticulously curated playlists showcasing the deep, dark, soulful sounds of drum and bass and jungle, as well as dubstep, 140 and other UK-originated genres.

Now, khariszma has stepped out from behind the curtain and moved behind the decks, turning those playlists into thoughtful journey sets brimming with contagious energy, emotion and intention. The deep love for the music she plays shines brightly in her live performances and her soulful sounds paired with heavy bass lines have earned her residencies with iconic drum and bass weekly Stamina Sundays in San Francisco and renowned junglist crew Konkrete Jungle Mile High in Denver, as well as lineup slots alongside legends such as Halogenix, Chase & Status, Bou, Joe Nice, N-Type, Hamdi, Bou, Degs, J:Kenzo, The Widdler, Ternion Sound, Pushloop, Enigma Dubz, Distinct Motive, Minnesota, Maddy O’Neal, Sam Binga and Ivy Lab. She also is a member of all-femme bass music collective Kyra Collective.

Khariszma has also received recognition from UK dnb heavyweight Halogenix, who discovered her through Instagram and asked her to be his first guest on his newly minted GeminiGemini radio show on KoolFM in 2023.

When she’s not playing shows, find her on Twitch where she streams the best of the underground bass music her weekly Sunday afternoon liquid dnb show, and occasionally on Saturdays from 7-9pm Pacific on the CouchFam Twitch channel for Heavy Traffic’s Sub.FM radio show- the longest running North American bass music radio show that’s still going strong after 15 years.
