Hello & Welcome Everyone! I just want to post the bio of Amplify The Love so everyone can get a feel what we are about.
The concept for Amplify The Love was created around 2020 because my social media was flooded with hate, racism, people spreading lies and being cruel to each other for the whole world to see. I became sucked into this negativity and just wanted to silence all the hate. It made me start thinking if there was anything I could do to bring people together and spread some positivity.
I felt like it kept getting worse! Through the pandemic the divide continued with no end in sight. We don’t treat each other like humans, we don’t get to know our “neighbor” because we judge people behind the protection of a device.
After the pandemic, as schools re-opened and kids began to socialize; my son was frustrated with some of his peers. He didn’t understand why kids were saying such mean things to him and each other. What I said to my son was that we needed to take a step back and reflect. We needed to take the time to understand what was going on in the lives and/or homes of people to cause them to react in a negative way.
Over the years Amplify The Love was something that I held close to my heart but I didn’t know what to do with it yet. Eventually I focused on this idea inspired by what I had told my son. I wanted to start creating a website and to have a section that read, “I apologize for…” and another section with “I forgive you…” where people can make submissions to the site to people they need to apologize to or forgive. Putting it “Out there” in a “confessional” will give people the opportunity to express themselves, see that they are not alone and feel a weight lifted off their shoulders.
Sharing this concept with my best friend, I added the idea of another step towards resolution…creating postcards with a basic prompt that people can use to send to someone they need to Apologize to or Forgive. If they only have an email address or phone number, we can also provide prompts to compose an email or text.
As the concept grew and I began to share with friends and a couple of clients, so did the idea for merch, a possible podcast and events started to develop. The opportunity to throw our first event presented itself for Halloween 2024! It was a time crunch but with encouragement and support from my best friend we decided to jump on this opportunity. My wife has also joined us as a 3rd Partner because she loves and believes in me and in Amplify The Love…A Movement (Full Credit goes to my wife for adding A Movement)
So here we are going a little backwards and pushing forward with Amplify The Love; a movement. Where I am challenging you to ignore the algorithm and discover music, discover people, discover food, interact with people and discover community again- Face 2 Face. I ask everyone to come join this movement as we grow together.
