Had an opportunity to be flown out to my hometown of Chicago to film the

Powerful keynotes and motivational speeches left and right!

And sick lighting from the venue helped make these shots pop!

More than half way through 2024 and it's been a journey so far!

Not only have I been able to have worked with incredible people and dip my feet into new territories on a film set, but I've also taken steps to help better myself on a business and personal side 💪🏻

I've taken up business coaching to help me ask the right questions and sound more confident when I'm trying to close filming projects, and I've started therapy to improve myself on a personal level.

Truthfully speaking, it hasn't been just flowers and rainbows this year. I have dealt with days where I've felt down and out. And I know those days will continue to come, not from a pessimistic point, but because that's just what comes with a freelancer's life.

So as we continue moving through the second half of 2024, my hope is to also continue moving past the daily challenges that we face as creatives, and knowing that on the other side of each hurdle is growth and opportunity.

Cheers 🤘🏻

How do YOU plan your shots?

For the latest music I filmed featuring
I used Set a Light by to pre-vis what my shots were going to look like.

The software allowed me to place lights, and choose my camera's position and focal length to really dial in my look, so that I wasn't wasting time on set!

Huge thank you to the helping hands of and for keeping us on track!

Do you use any lighting software to help with your setups?

The results and the awesome crew and equipment that helped make it happen. This project was such a nice change of pace! We were able to break down a very iconic scene in cinema and recreate it with our own experience. Will definitely be doing something like this again!

Shot this in my studio using at most 3 lights! The second image is what the shot looked like without any lighting. Then I set up two fresnels with diffusion to add some reflections onto the bottle and give it shape. The photo suddenly had much more life! Finally, I took an RGB stick light and shined it onto the back wall to give the photo some color that complimented the color of the drink. Then just a little flare in the corner for flavor and bam!
