Today was a sad day. The boys were going for a nice 4th of July surf, and unfortunately my ride or die Sonny Vardeman board snapped in half while Dax was riding it. I have had this board since 2005, it was my favorite. Everyone who tried it, loved it too. Sonny crafted some special stuff. Coincidentally, Xander wiped out and his knee went into the bottom of his board so that was a wrap. Blood and broken boards….It was a long walk back to the car but we will always remember this day and this very special board. R.I.P.
