As we reflect on our June 7th East Texas Bridal Open House, our hearts are so full of gratitude.
What started as a simple idea between four women has grown into something we never could have imagined.
We started with a small open house of around 10 vendors and quickly grew to more than 55 interested vendors. After hosting our first show, we knew we couldn’t stop there. There was an obvious need for wedding professionals to build meaningful relationships, connect with engaged couples, and have opportunities to grow their businesses alongside others who are passionate about serving couples well.
We chose the name East Texas Bridal Open House very intentionally. When you think of an open house, you think of a place where people are welcomed in, invited to stay awhile, and made to feel comfortable. That’s exactly what we wanted to create.
We wanted something that felt warm, personal, and intentional. A place where conversations happen naturally, relationships are built, and couples can take their time getting to know the vendors who may become part of one of the most important days of their lives.
From the beginning, our vision was never to create a traditional wedding expo where couples walk by booths collecting brochures and listening to sales pitches.
We wanted something more personal.
We wanted engaged couples to have the opportunity to slow down, have genuine conversations, ask questions, compare options, schedule consultations, and even book vendors on-site if they felt confident doing so. We wanted couples to leave with real connections, not just a bag full of flyers.
At the same time, we wanted vendors to feel supported in more ways than simply generating leads. We wanted to create an environment where wedding professionals could build relationships with one another, collaborate, share ideas, and grow together. Some of the most valuable connections made at our events happen between vendors themselves.
That’s what makes East Texas Bridal Open House special to us. It isn’t just about filling booths or filling a room. It’s about creating intentional opportunities for meaningful connections between couples and vendors, and between vendors themselves.
On June 7th, we watched that vision come to life once again.
We saw vendors making meaningful connections with brides and grooms. We watched fellow business owners networking, collaborating, and building relationships. We saw engaged couples discovering photographers, venues, florists, DJs, caterers, planners, bakers, and so many other incredible professionals who will play a role in one of the most important days of their lives.
To our vendors: Thank you for trusting us with your businesses and allowing us to be a small part of your growth. Seeing bookings happen, partnerships form, friendships develop, and businesses thrive is one of the greatest rewards of what we do. We are honored to support each and every one of you.
To our brides, grooms, and engaged couples: Thank you for spending your day with us. We are honored that you chose East Texas Bridal Open House as part of your wedding planning journey, and we hope you found vendors who not only fit your vision but who genuinely care about making your day special.
To our volunteers, family members, sponsors, and everyone who helped behind the scenes: We couldn’t do this without you.
Because of your support, East Texas Bridal Open House continues to grow, and we’re just getting started.
We have BIG plans for the future and are excited to continue creating opportunities for vendors, building meaningful connections, and helping even more engaged couples throughout East Texas find the perfect team for their wedding day.
