💚 Anniversary Week: Our Year 1 Impact 💚

One year ago, Flora + Fauna Experiences began with a simple idea: create opportunities for people to connect with animals, nature, community, and compassionate living.

Together, here's what we accomplished in our first year:

💚 41 Vegan & Vegan-Friendly Businesses Supported
💚 8 Sanctuaries & Rescues Supported
💚 Luvin Arms Impact: 10 gatherings hosted at the sanctuary and $557 donated to support rescued animals 🌱 Let's double this in 2027 🌱

None of this would have been possible without every person who attended a meetup, joined a retreat, supported a small business, volunteered at a sanctuary, shared a post, or simply believed in what we were building.

Thank you for helping us create a community rooted in compassion, connection, and conscious living.

Today is a special day.

Four years ago, Flora and Fauna arrived at Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary and began their new lives in safety, compassion, and freedom.

One year ago, Flora and Fauna Experiences was launched in their honor.

These two sheep are more than our namesake. They are our why. They remind us that every living being is an individual worthy of love, protection, and the chance to live a full life.

Everything we do is rooted in helping people build deeper connections with each other and animals like Flora and Fauna.

💚 Anniversary Week! 💚 Our Partner 💚

Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary has been our partner from the very beginning from when our founder wrote the first business plan for Flora and Fauna Experiences. As a long-time volunteer, it was a way for Jamie to bring awareness to and raise funds for the place that was so welcoming to her upon moving to Colorado.... and a place where she's bonded with many of the residents including rescued sheep Flora and Fauna!

We're grateful for their partnership and proud that a portion of our proceeds helps support the residents who call Luvin Arms home.

💚 Rescue Feature: Laster Ranch Animal Rescue 💚

While camping in Joshua Tree with .vegan.basecamp we had the opportunity to visit Laster Ranch Animal Rescue and spend time with some of their incredible residents.

Located in Morongo Valley, California, Laster Ranch was founded after owners Robert and Kerry visited a farm animal sanctuary during the pandemic. That experience changed their lives, inspiring them to sell their restaurant and home to create a sanctuary dedicated to giving farm animals a safe and loving forever home.

Today, Laster Ranch provides sanctuary for pigs, goats, chickens, rabbits, and other farmed animals while educating the community about compassionate and cruelty-free living. Their vision is simple but powerful: helping people see farm animals as the intelligent, emotional individuals they are.

One of the things we loved most about visiting was hearing the stories behind the residents and seeing firsthand how much care, love, and intention goes into creating a safe space where animals can simply be themselves.

Visits like these are a reminder of why sanctuaries matter, why they are a cornerstone of our business. They give animals a second chance while helping people build deeper connections with the individuals behind our food system.
