This weekend was one we will never forget. 🤍
On Sunday, we celebrated ONE YEAR of this business and somehow it also happened to fall on Mother’s Day, which always holds so much emotion and meaning for our family.
And what a weekend it was…
We participated in FOUR events:
- A beautiful Mother’s Day brunch alongside an incredible group of women, with proceeds benefiting the Adalyn Rose Foundation - serving families grieving the loss of a baby during pregnancy, infancy, or early childhood.
- Two Mother’s Day catered lunch/dinners
- Meal pickups for other amazing families celebrating at home
Safe to say… we were BUSY. 😅
But more than anything, this weekend reminded me how grateful I am.
Grateful for the friends who constantly support us, share our name, order from us, and cheer us on through every season of this journey.
Grateful for our family who loves and cares for Avery while we pour everything we have into creating amazing food for great people.
Grateful for the little boy who made me a mom and gave deeper meaning to days like this.
Grateful for my mom, who spent years cooking beside me and sharing this passion with me long before this business ever existed.
And grateful for my husband, the most supportive partner through all of this chaos, who somehow still managed to make us a Mother’s Day smoked prime rib dinner in the middle of one of our busiest weekends yet.
And especially grateful for the women who started it all long before this business existed… the women who taught me in the kitchen as a little girl, showed me what love looks like through food, and helped shape the person behind Vanno, my Aunt Nancy.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for an unforgettable first year. We truly could not do this without all of you.
