So, let's real talk yall...
Ive made no secret about my past bad experiences with videographers, content creators and Day Ofs. Ive never told full stories, and never will....but a few of them made me show my maiden name lol
But, I was lucky enough to work with a few great videographers last year that restored my faith in humanity (shout out to Jake and Tony), and a couple of awesome Day Ofs....but content creators were still a sticky subject for me
While I see the absolute benefit for couples, wedding days are incredibly chaotic, stressful and everyone is competing for time and coverage. A lot of content creators just decided one day to pop up at weddings with their cell phones with no real wedding experience or knowledge of the ins and outs of a truly successful timeline
Hot take...I know. And no, I am not saying that all content creators are that way. Because they absolutely are not. Ive seen some work from some killer CCs, and I know its an artform of its own. It just takes a special person to do it successfully for weddings. Just like photography, just like videography, just like DJs or Coordination.
This weekend, I got to work with two inredible ladies that deserve a loud shout out.
Mattea and Taylor with Yes Ma’am Event Services are the bees knees yall
From planning, to decorating, to day of and content creation, these ladies were ON it. They were respectful of me and my needs and timeline, they communicated stupid well with all of the vendors, took amazing care of the bride and groom. Mattea was fabulous at taking charge and making sure there were no others to be found, and Taylor was with me, rocking content creation.
Any one that knows me knows that when I work, Im in the zone. Im not the easiest person to work with, I know this...because I am a control freak. I cant help it. But she made each step with me, respectfully capturing what she needed while being mindful of me.
I dont recommend people very often, because I never want anything negative to fall back on me if someone has a bad experience....but I feel confident that these ladies would take care of any of couples, and they got along with me, which speaks volumes about their tolerance 😂
They are newer to the game, but you would never know it by watching them work. So, if you need a planner, decorator, Day Of, or content creator....these girls get the Raven seal of approval.
( And...they are willing to travel )
