More than 45 years of creating tiny porcelain treasures!

Chris of Okubo Originals shares a little about how she creates her work:
“My miniatures are made from porcelain clay. They are one-of-a-kind, hand-sculpted pieces, created using a dental tool and craft knife. After creating the greenware sculptures, they receive a bisque firing. From there, I paint them using China paints, which are painted and fired in several layers. This process is what gives the pieces their soft, shadowed, slightly vintage coloring. Creation Cottage by Chris Okubo Originals

I’ve been creating my tiny dolls, toys, and figurines for over 45 years. When I’m not selling at a miniature show, you can find my work for sale in my Etsy shop at CreationCottage.etsy.com. You can also follow me on Instagram for updates when new pieces are available.”

Be sure to stop by Okubo Originals at Philly and see Chris’s one-of-a-kind porcelain creations in person!

Look closely...even the flowers are made from shells!

Elizabeth of Half Blind Miniatures creates remarkable shellwork and folk art miniatures, transforming tiny real shells into beautifully detailed pieces for miniature settings and collections.

And when we say shellwork, we mean it! Even the delicate little flowers you see in her work are created from shells. Elizabeth uses their natural shapes, textures, and colors in incredibly clever ways to create decorative boxes, busts, floral arrangements, and other tiny treasures.

This is definitely a table where you need to lean in and take a second look. What you think is a tiny flower petal might actually be a seashell!

Be sure to visit Half Blind Miniatures at Philly and see Elizabeth’s work in person.

There’s always another little detail to discover in Ginger’s work!

Ginger Landon Siegel creates wonderfully imaginative miniatures with a special focus on dimensional scenes, kits, and finished pieces in scales ranging from 1:12 all the way down to 1:144.

Her work includes layered dimensional scenes, tiny Victorian houses, pocket-watch scenes, teacup creations, painted teapots, filled shelves, nutcrackers, clocks, holiday pieces, and plenty of other unexpected little treasures. Many of her kits include everything needed to recreate the finished scene, right down to the frame and detailed instructions.

Ginger has been making miniatures since childhood and began her miniature business in 2004. Her creativity really shows in the unusual places she finds to put a miniature scene. A pocket watch? A teacup? A tiny frame? Absolutely!

Be sure to stop by Ginger Landon Siegel at Philly. This is definitely a table where you’ll want to slow down and look closely because there’s always something else to see!
