2025 was my official first GROWING season with a full crop of peonies. There were lots of beautiful moments and lots of sad, unexpected moments that I didn’t share. I learned some valuable lessons that my personal gardens had never taught me. Sometimes people online are ugly and even in real life but peonies are never ugly. 😆 2026 will be for more growing, learning and experiencing but in 2027… for providing to all of our gorgeous florists and locals.

Out of my 270 peonies 5 have these new buds up the old stems. It’s only my Itoh peonies (Japanese hybrids). It’s not something I’ve saw before but I’m interested to figure out why?

They are in the ground! Luckily I had worked the dirt a couple months ago and the ground temp wasn’t bad at all. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
