🌸 Those are 36 brand new, never seen before dahlia plants 😍 No way I’m letting them risk it out there in the cold!

🌱It’s that time again! 🌱

This year I’m growing way more dahlia seedlings (lots from and some of my own!), giving ranunculus another go (this time getting them out LOTS earlier), and so many tubers from last year that I don’t know where I’ll put them all!
I can’t wait to share them all with you!! 💐

🌱It’s almost time to start some seeds indoors!
My triple washed coconut coir arrived today and I’m making my own blend of seed starting mix with:
- 3 part Happy Trees Coconut Coir
- 1 part course vermiculite
- 1 Wiggle Worm worm castings

🌟 DID YOU KNOW…Coconut Coir (super common seed starting mix found in garden centers) is full of natural salt which can be terrible for seedlings, just like too much is bad for us! Happy Trees (found on Amazon) is triple washed to reduce the amount of salt in it ❤️

First up, marigolds and dahlias. I want them to be super ready when it’s time to do outside!
In the meantime, crochet is my cold weather hobby. Current project: snuggly blanket for Allie 💜

🍵This rainy weather and the sprint to Christmas break has me longing for a ginormous lavender matcha to get me through the afternoon! Is it Spring yet??
Next time I have to get the lavender cold foam, too!
