Ok, so, this one is personal, because it is my wife's business Thrive Together Doulas. But I wanted to showcase some of the work that goes into branding sessions, and why it isn't just getting you to smile for the camera. (However, to be clear, that is still incredibly important.)
These photos were taken months apart from each other.
One was taken in Topeka in someone's living room, the other was taken in my studio in West Bottoms, KC.
One of these was done on a roll of white paper with one light source and a v-flat, the other was done with two flashes, one placed outside a window and the other across the room.
Do you know which is which?
Knowing how to match lighting, aesthetic, etc. is something that comes with practice, skill, and time.
This is why I charge what I charge for branding sessions.
When you are presenting yourself and your team online you need uniformity, consistency, no matter if you have to have your Topeka team one day, and your Kansas City team another.
Don't risk it on the weather, we can make it look bright and sunny at midnight. Don't risk it on the location. We can create the vibe you want anywhere you want it.
DO make sure you trust your photographer.
And DO invest in your business.
If you want people to pay you what you think you are worth, then you have to present yourself in a way that shows that you value yourself first.

OH, and which you think is which? (Topeka in a living room, or Kansas City in Studio?)
