United Blood Services Nevada Region

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragic events last evening. If you are wondering if there is anything you can do to help please consider donating blood. UBS is taking appointments.

UPDATE: We’ve received an overwhelming response from the community. If you’re having trouble getting through or making an appointment, we’re so sorry. There are very long waits at all of our donations locations. The immediate needs are being taken care of by the blood already on the shelves. We are now directing donors to make appointments later in the week. When you donate in the coming days, it will help us replenish that supply for any future needs. The Las Vegas operations of United Blood Services, a Blood Systems blood center, provided blood and blood products to area hospital treating victims of the Oct. 1 concert shooting. United Blood Services continues to assess the needs and stands ready to support hospitals with ongoing blood product needs.

Already the local Las Vegas community has come forward in solidarity to support and honor those impacted by this senseless shooting. It’s the blood on the shelf that saves lives when tragedy strikes. Donations made today to replenish the supply will be available for hospital partners in 24 to 36 hours.

The immediate needs are for O-negative, O-positive and platelet donations. Donors of all types will be needed to replenish supply. All donations are on a walk-in basis at this time.
Blood has a shelf life, so it is important that donations are given on an ongoing basis. To effectively manage the blood supply for patients, we encourage donors to make appointments to give blood throughout the coming days and weeks.

I can't believe it has been 17 years since I opened Sneak Peek Ultrasound in Las Vegas. The technology has changed so much. I started with a 2D(black and white) ultrasound machine and a VCR. It has been amazing to see over 30,000 babies and be a part of so many memories. The new HD Live is amazing. I look forward to the next 30,000 babies! Please visit me in my new office with a new name, See My Baby Ultrasound.

This month marks the 14th anniversary for Sneak Peek Ultrasound. On my way in to work today I was thinking of how the technology has changed and how awesome it has been to see so many cute babies. Today I got to see twin boys, I usually cant see both faces at once so this was especially cool. Thanks to Estela for letting me share the pic, can't wait to see a pic of them when they are born.
