There is a moment just before she walks and it is the one I will never take for granted.

This is Coral. Gathered. Still. Holding onto the last few seconds before everything changed.

My favorite part of this job is not the florals or the timeline or the perfectly executed floor plan, though I love all of those too. It is this. The quiet right before. Every bride gets there a different way. My job is to make sure that when she arrives at that moment, the only thing she has to carry is herself (and her beautiful bouquet)

Cocktail hour is not a waiting room.

Most couples spend months obsessing over florals, linens, and centerpieces and then hand their guests a glass of wine and hope for the best.

The cocktail hour is one of the longest unstructured windows of your wedding day. It is also one of the most memorable, if you treat it that way.

Coral and Nolan rented a roulette table for their cocktail hour. No casino theme. No matching décor concept built around it. Just a genuinely fun, unexpected moment that got their guests talking, laughing, and actually present before the reception even started.

That is the standard worth chasing. Not more flowers. More feeling.

A little reminder for wherever you are in the planning process.

Somewhere between the venue tours, guest lists, budgets, design decisions, and endless to-do lists, it's easy to lose sight of the reason this journey began in the first place.

Yes, the flowers matter. The timeline matters. The details matter.

But none of those things are the reason you're standing at the altar.

You're there because you've found the person you want to build a life with. The person who knows your quirks, celebrates your victories, supports you through challenges, and makes ordinary moments feel extraordinary.

The most meaningful weddings aren't defined by perfection. They're defined by presence. By the quiet glance exchanged during the ceremony. The laughter shared during dinner. The overwhelming realization that after all the planning is complete, you get to spend forever with your favorite person.

When the planning feels overwhelming, return to what matters most.
