DO'S & DONT'S: The First Dance edition along with images if a few of our all time favorite first dance photos
.
DO consider your outfit and shoes. Who doesn't love a spin in a full skirt or cute pair of cowboy boots with a Texas 2-Step?

DON'T skip out on dance lessons. Practice really does make perfect. Even a couple sessions to learn a few basics and work out a plan makes a huge difference.

DO Pick a song that means something. This song will be a lasting memory so make sure the lyrics say the right thing (you'd be surprised).

DON'T go longer than 2 mins. Short and sweet will keep guests engaged. If your song goes beyond that, invite guests to join you.

DO inject a bit of personality and fun into it. A spin, a dip, a nod to your Southern roots. Whatever puts your stamp on it as a couple will delight your audience.

Nothing says "don't miss this epic wedding weekend in Jackson Hole" like a custom printed bandana inviting guests to Save the Date in the color of the wedding. wrapped each bandana with a letterpressed belly band outlining the basics which directed guests to their website. The couple's monogram, reminiscent of a vintage cattlebrand was right on brand.

Congratulations to and team 🇳🇱on advancing to the quarter finals in the . When I first met Talia and Vincent they envisioned a garden wedding in Napa Valley. With his unpredictable schedule and only a few possible dates at that, we decided to expand our venue search and found the perfect spot at a private estate in Santa Barbara. The estate owners were incredibly patient while we honed in on the date. Planning mostly from afar, we worked together with a great team to bring their vision to life. A year later, 120 of their closest friends and family from Europe, Mexico and parts of the US gathered as they exchanged vows on a perfect Santa Barbara evening. Thanks for featuring today.

S&R wanted to exchange vows with toes in the sand so a shoe valet was the first stop for guests as they arrived. Once they safely stored their shoes in tagged muslin bags, they strolled the beach with hibiscus coolers in hand. Vibrant tropicals framed the altar, waves crashed against the rocky coast, beautiful words were spoken. It really couldn't have been more perfect. Cocktails followed on the beach.

An initial search of (what seemed like) every Southern California coastal venue option, confirmed the fact that there is truly no place like home. So, memories of childhood birthday bouncy houses on the community bluff have now been upstaged by a chic, sophisticated wedding dinner overlooking the beach where S&R exchanged vows. With a same day load in/ load out, and 3 set ups from beach to hillside home, it was no small feat to produce. Superwoman award goes to and her team who (as always) wowed with incredible tablescapes of vibrant tropicals that were a perfect compliment to a clean, modern dining table (a collaboration w/ ). Day of papers by the talented were also gorgeous. Guests dined on an entirely gluten free meal catered by (better known for their trendy LA eateries Jon & Vinny’s and Animal). Django Foxtrot entertained as the day turned to night.

There is no question that I am spoiled producing weddings in California where there is little rain for a good part of the year. But with the unpredictability of summer mountain thunderstorms a weather tent was an absolute must on our list of needs for a Jackson Hole wedding. Ryan from moved mountains to make sure we had the weather tent we wanted but we hoped we'd never have to use it. Well, mother nature had other plans. In this case, mother did know best! The tent which we paired with a smaller tent for our beautiful copper bar turned out to be just the perfect finishing touch. It provided an intimate space for the ideal weekend welcome! As guests arrived the skies cleared giving us the best of both worlds. It truly was a perfect evening.

Inspired by Maggie's vibrant dress we put a bright and colorful spin on a Jackson Western style welcome dinner. Guests found their seats by way of a big beautiful es**rt card wall dreamt up by perched on 1500 lb hay bales. Peanut leather es**rt cards by were displayed amidst grasses and colorful florals. Cards led guests to their seats which were marked with Western belt buckle placecards engraved by .haniyacalligraphy and placed atop Copper placesettings by . Guests enjoyed a country-style meal, bluegrass sounds by and the couple was toasted (and roasted) by a long line of their nearest and dearest. The evening ended with dessert, cocktails and a surprise film in our makeshift outdoor theatre.

We haven't been hanging around IG much this summer. Our travels have taken us from the beaches of Southern California to the mountains of Wyoming creating fabulous events for our amazing couples! Finally catching a breath and can't wait to show some gorgeous work... starting with this magical weekend for Maggie and Brady created alongside the extraordinary . Guests were welcomed with a colorful Jackson style western BBQ which (despite the threat of rain) turned out to be a perfect night in the shadow of the Tetons. Photographed by , Paper details by
