We're still recovering from Fringe weekend and feeling grateful for everyone who made it happen. From volunteers to partners providing in-kind gear, this event was a labor of love, pulled together on a razor-thin budget and fueled by a whole lot of hopes and dreams!

Please join us in extending our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this weekend possible. Click through to see who's on our hearts this week.

If you haven't yet, check out the event survey. This helps us *fingers crossed* get more funding for future events and do it all again! Find the attendee survey at: https://wkf.ms/4xoSJgO

Before we say goodbye to July, we want to celebrate this year's WyoGives Day - a record-making day of giving for our organization!

Together, you raised nearly $20,000, which supports our team's operations and continued work to preserve the Civic Center as a place for Laramie to gather, connect, and grow for its next century in service to our town.

Part of your gifts were matched by , adding another $3,130 to our final total. On top of that, we won a raffle prize that got us another $500!

We're floored by the generosity throughout the state (You raised over $6.8M (yes MILLION!) this year) and heartened by the investments in the many nonprofits doing critical work for our communities. This work is not possible without the help of our neighbors.

Thank you for believing in this community space.

You're incredible. ❤

Wyoming Fringe is back, and it's coming to Laramie August 21-23.

August 21–23, the Laramie Plains Civic Center transforms into Wyoming's boldest performing arts weekend. Expect theatre, comedy, dance, film, opera, and work you won't see anywhere else — original, daring, and made to surprise you.

We've been featuring performers over on the Wyoming Fringe Festival page and will continue to share more about the incredible folks who are behind this year's weekend of wacky art.

Weekend highlights include:
- Opening Night's one-night-only performance of What Was Ours, Who She Is, presented by the Native American Education, Research and Cultural Center and UW Theatre and Dance
- Laramie darlings, Jackalope Cult Cinema
- the UW MFA Creative Writing Program performing an ekphrastic showcase — where writers respond to visual art and performers bring that work to life
- plus dozens more acts spanning every corner of Wyoming's performing arts scene!

Your weekend pass gets you into it all: multiple venues, back-to-back performances, and three days of artists pushing what's possible on stage. Learn more by following along with the Wyoming Fringe accounts and visiting wyomingfringefestival for more details and tickets! (Linked in bio too!)

[Deadline to apply is this Friday, July 31st!]

OPEN CALL: WHATS YOUR CURRENT SIDEQUEST??
Not every creative journey follows a straight path.

Every artist has side quests: the unfamiliar material you’ve been meaning to try, the question that won’t leave you alone, the collaboration you didn’t expect, the idea scribbled in the margins of your sketchbook, the experiment that doesn’t quite belong in your current body of work.

These creative detours are often where discovery happens.

**Side Quests** celebrates the work born from curiosity, play, experimentation, and artistic risk. We invite artists working in all visual media to share projects that explore new directions, embrace unexpected processes, or reveal the edges of their creative practice.

As part of Wyoming FringeFest, selected artworks will become the inspiration for original ekphrastic writing by University of Wyoming MFA students. These written responses will be performed live by actors throughout the exhibition, creating an ongoing conversation between visual art, literature, and performance.

Whether your side quest is a new technique, an unusual material, an interdisciplinary collaboration, or an idea you’ve simply been waiting for the right moment to explore—we invite you to take the detour.

You never know where it might lead.
