The way they reach for your hand without even thinking about it. The details you picked out one by one because they meant something to you. The look on your mom’s face during the ceremony, your friends laughing at the reception, and the little moments in between with the people who have loved you long before this day.

I think my favorite photos are the ones where nobody is looking at the camera.

Not because I don't love a good posed photo. I absolutely do. 😂

But there is something about a photo that feels like you.

The way he makes you laugh.
The way she looks at you when you aren't paying attention.
The little moments that you probably don't even realize I'm photographing.

That's the stuff I want to give you.

So if you're worried you're "awkward" in photos, I promise you're probably not. You just haven't had someone tell you what to do yet. 🤍

I always love photographing the little things.

The shoes that took forever to pick out.

The rings that suddenly feel a lot more important once they're sitting there waiting for the ceremony.

The invitation that has probably been sitting on someone's counter for months.

It's funny because on the wedding day, these things can feel so small. But years later, they're part of what brings you right back.

What is one little detail from your wedding day that you know you'll want to remember forever?

Just a few things I find myself saying at almost every wedding 😂

Your wedding day is not a photoshoot. You should actually get to enjoy it.

My job is to help you get beautiful photos while also making sure you get to be present for the actual day.

Future brides, what is the one thing about wedding photos you're most nervous about?

I will never get tired of engagement sessions. 🤍

There is just something about getting to spend an hour or two with a couple before their wedding day and watching them get comfortable in front of the camera.

We can take the pretty photos, obviously. But my favorite part is always the in-between stuff. The laughing, the little looks, the moments where they forget I'm even there.

If you're planning a Michigan wedding, an engagement session is one of my favorite ways to get comfortable with your photographer before the big day.

And honestly, you don't have to know how to pose. That's my job. 😂
