Update: 7/25/18 - It is with MUCH sadness that we announce that we have had to cancel our upcoming week of shows at Knoebels Amusement Resort this August 6 -12th, 2018. Mike is scheduled for a radiation treatment that Tuesday, August 7th as part of a new Clinical Trial Cancer Treatment at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. As soon as we got the treatment schedule we contacted the Park's Entertainment Director to update them on the treatment. We LOVE Knoebels and hope to be back next year for our 25th season. We also whole heartedly support them during their current problems with flooding because of ongoing rain storms. A good friend of ours, magician Mike Miller, will be on hand to take over most of the week for us, (Monday and Tuesday and then Thursday though Sunday). Thanks for your understanding.

Update: 6/25/18 - Sadly we must announce that we have had to cancel our upcoming week of shows at Knoebels Amusement Resort this July 9th - 15th, 2018. I will be starting a new Clinical Trial Cancer Treatment at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and I will have a treatment that week. Because this is a Clinical Trial with a treatment I have never had it is too risky for me with not knowing how I will feel and what potential side effects I may, or may not, have. I am also told I will be tired and physically weaker during this time. We wanted to make sure to give the Park's Entertainment Director time to find a suitable replacement. We LOVE Knoebels and hope to be back for a few select dates in August, (August 6, 7, and 8). We are scheduled for the whole week, (Aug. 6 - 12) but Donna, my smarter half and amazing care giver, thinks that three days of consecutive shows is about my limit. That will still be 9 shows or opportunities to see us. Because of my health the show we have planned, and have done, is smaller than we normally do with more emphasis on audience participation and comedy magic but less physical stage illusions. A good friend of ours is scheduled to be on hand to take over the rest of the week for us. Thanks for your understanding. NOTE: THIS PHOTO IS FROM 2016.

Happy 4th of July!!! We are having a blast celebrating Knoebels Amusement Resort's 90th anniversary. We even got to be in the parade today. Come see us at the Roaring Creek Saloon thru Sunday, July 10, 2016.

Very happy to receive my copy of the new Houdini-Opoly game and looking forward to playing it. Not only is it a fun game but it is also a great history lesson too as much of the game gives the dates and years of some of Houdini's most famous stunts, appearances and life events. I am also very happy to say that my name is listed on the back of the box as one of the first people to order copies of the game and help finance the creation of this unique game. Order your's today from HoudiniOpoly.com and tell them Mike Snyder sent you.

Special thanks to Dorothy Dietrich and Dick Brookz of the Houdini Museum in Scranton, PA for the creation of this game.

Had a great visit with my longtime friend and fellow entertainer Tom Crowl - Ventriloquist. Tom started out as magician and toured the country performing and opening for a variety of stars. He may also be the second longest running and still performing variety act that appears at Knoebels Amusement Resort. Years ago he changed his act from magic to ventriloquism and with his new act he has sailed to even greater heights. We had a great lunch and a day full of talking about the entertainment business, marketing, promotion and more. Thanks Tom.

So sorry to hear about the death of Harry Anderson this morning, April 16, 2018, in North Carolina. Most people will remember him from his TV and Film roles on "Cheer's", "Night Court", "Dave's World" the original movie "IT" and more, but magicians the world over will also remember him as a funny and amazing performer, magician and comedy con-man. He will be missed my many. He was 65. http://variety.com/2018/tv/news/harry-anderson-night-court-dead-at-65-1202754949/

With Harry Anderson, actor/magician, at Magical May Day 2010 convention. Harry played "Harry The Hat" on TV's Cheers and then he went on to "Night Court" as Judge Harold T. Stone. He also had major roles in "Dave's World" and Steven King's "IT."

So happy to have been able to once again produce, direct, and act as emcee for the Professional Magicians Club of Lancaster County, PA annual 'A Night of Magic & Comedy' at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre in Lancaster. This was our 14th annual production and I have produced this event from the start. I am already working on #15 and I plan for it to be a BIG one. Special thanks to George Gee, David Darwin and Denny Haney of Denny & Lee Magic Shop for staring in this year's show. It was a pleasure to once again work with you all. Additional thanks to my partner and amazing wife Donna, who operated the main curtain and gave additional support and my cohort and fellow club Grand-Council member Almar who helped backstage and onstage and assisted the performers with whatever they needed. A huge thanks also goes to the entire management and staff at the theatre. They make my job much easier. And finally Thank You to everyone who came out to join us in the audience for a fun and amazing night. It would not be as much fun without you all.

We were both honored and surprised to be recipients of the 2018 Lancaster Catholic High School Alumni Citation Awards, the highest honor the school can bestow on a graduate. The awards were presented at a special banquet event on Saturday, March 10. Our awards are for "Outstanding Professional Achievement" for what we have accomplished together with our entertainment business since we graduated high school in 1984. We were honored and thankful to not only receive this award, but also that three and a half tables of friends and family could come and help us celebrate this special day.

I remember, being a child and sitting in the passenger seat of the car with my father sitting at the wheel. We were stopped at the traffic light at N. Plum and E. King street, right down from our house. A gentleman was crossing the street and he and my dad exchanged pleasant "hellos" to each other. My dad seemed to know everyone and he proudly explained to me that the gentleman was Mr. Barney Ewell who was once known as the fastest man in the world and he had competed and won medals, including a Gold, in the Olympics years earlier.

This week is Barney Ewell Week here in Lancaster, in honor the 100th anniversary of his birthday. He was a proud Lancaster native that should be remembered not just for his amazing speed and Olympic accomplishments, but also for his hard work, amazing attitude, warmth, class, and grace. Thanks LNP - LancasterOnline for this nice article. Please feel free to share.
