Effie's impeccable wedding day style couldn't have been more fun to execute. The flower choices, color scheme, and decorative accents were all her own - and we were HERE. FOR. IT.

She designed her tablescape, table numbers, the flower box welcome sign, mirror, and seating chart sign... all we did was throw a few blooms together for a little highlight! Ok, ok... we did a little more than just throw it together. BUT, let's give a round of 👏👏👏 to this stunning bride and her great taste!

If I had to sum this wedding up on just one word, it would be DETAILS. There were so many little intricacies, scattered throughout the mansion - if you blinked, you might have missed them! Our eclectic mix of vintage-inspired decor items had the opportunity of their lifetime to truly shine.

For months I obsessed about this wedding! The goals were "editorial chic", organically-inspired florals, color - but not *too* much color, retro decor elements, and fruit. All the fruit. 😵‍💫 It was exhausting and confusing - but honestly, perfectly intriguing at the same time. I am a true glutton for punishment, therefore I am built for these types of projects and I can't get enough of them, honestly!

Noel's vision was unlike any other I had experienced before. I would do it all over again if I could!

Hi, I’m Andrea!

Welcome to my business page. I’m the owner and lead floral designer with Larkspur & Leo. My florist career began in January 2018, when my family took over Laura’s Flower Shoppe in Lake Villa, IL, which I both operated and designed for. I am a self-taught floral designer, lucky enough to have had support and guidance by other, AIFD-certified, and hugely talented, floral designers in my area. Although I’m a very good copy-cat, and can conform to just about any floral design, the style I am most drawn to may be considered garden-inspired, a little bit bohemian, sometimes rustic, yet clean and focused. Flowers were never truly a passion of mine... to tell you the truth, I knew nothing about flowers before 2018! What I love about floristry, floral design, and weddings/events mostly has to do with the people involved. I love the creative ideas brides come up with for their wedding; I am moved by the love and compassion people have for their loved ones when they pass; and it’s always a challenge coming up with new ways to manipulate flowers to create the perfect piece for a customer. All of this makes for fun, exciting, stressful (in a good way... mostly), and completely gratifying work. I hope you like my creations, and I hope for the opportunity to work with you!
