A Luxury balloon garland 20’ up the exterior of this cute pie shaped building?… Sure thing!

Set it up at 7am in the pouring down rain?… OH. Ummm. Okay

I’m usually a “if I can make it, I’ll make it myself” kind of girl.
I create the majority of the props and specialty pieces for my displays in-house, but August was PACKED. So when a client and I dreamed up the idea of a giant w**e bottle pouring w**e, my husband convinced me to do something I don’t normally do… hire that piece out.
I reached out to a couple of vendors in early June for quotes. One responded quickly, the communication seemed great, and I decided to move forward.
And then… the deadlines started getting missed.
There were a lot of “Yes! I’ll get that to you today!” messages followed by… nothing.
At several points, I was ready to walk away. But then I was told the small business had experienced the loss of a family member and was trying to catch up. I completely understood that life happens, and because I’m a small business owner myself, I had empathy for the situation.
So I stayed.
Looking back, I should have trusted my gut and walked away when the first red flags appeared.

A little something extra just joined the Make It Pop inventory!
These oversized statement flowers are now available as a rental add-on to balloon installations. They’re such a fun way to add dimension, color, and a little unexpected drama to your display. I’m already dreaming up all the ways we can use them.
Want to incorporate them into your next event? Send me a message and let’s design something beautiful!

I was invited back to Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce Mercer Island Art UnCorked event for the 4th year in a row last weekend. It’s always one of my favorite installs of the year. Each year Jen Dean | Leadership & Strategy and I collaborate to create something extraordinary for this event and this year didn’t disappoint.

Your backdrop doesn’t have to be something I have in stock.

Want something completely custom? We can design and have it printed for you!

From branded business events and grand openings to birthdays, showers and everything in between, custom-designed and printed backdrops are available through Make It Pop.

Have a vision but can’t find exactly what you’re looking for? That’s my favorite kind of project.

There’s just something about a giant pencil, stacks of school supplies, bright colors and balloons that makes heading back to the classroom a little more exciting.

This custom display was created for Chick-fil-A Marysville to celebrate the start of another school year here in Washington!

From the smallest details to the oversized statement pieces, I love turning a simple theme into an experience that makes people stop, look and snap a photo. 📸

Cheers to a new school year, Washington!

I finally brought my oldest son to work after he’s been asking forever to help me “build my balloons” 🎈

He was ALL in the first hour… then quickly realized that while balloons are fun, they’re also a lot of work 😅

Still, getting to share a glimpse of what I do and create those memories together made it one of my favorite installs yet. Moments like this are the real win
