Our Story
We are sorry to say our Baldwin Road Market with vendors selling to the community off our front lawn was cut short this year in part due to road construction. But, all is good and we hope to have our market outside again soon. Our Baldwin Road Market page was well liked by many and since it’s closed and so many enjoyed watching our posts we have changed the name of our Page to Community Connections at Unity of Lake Orion to better match our website page headings at unitylakeorion.org This way if you are looking for more details it will be easier to connect the two.
Whether the event is located on the front lawn or inside Unity of Lake Orion's Church/Spiritual Center everyone is invited to stop in and enjoy our events. All events that are not church related are posted on this page and our name ties in with our Unity website calendar so that you can see our scheduled events. We are located on Baldwin Rd just South of Waldon Road. Our church/spiritual home can be rented as your wedding chapel. You can choose from one of the ministers we have to officiate your wedding or bring in your own. No classes are required to rent our space and the rental fee is $400.
Join in our community events when you can, there are always things happening that you can enjoy that are not a church service. While here, don’t worry that we are going to ask you to join our church. We know most people have their own church, just like we have our members. Should you have questions for us or want to know more about Unity, we are always happy to talk to you more, just ask us. Our Sunday Service is at 10AM or our Saturday Service is at 6Pm. Whatever event you choose to enjoy you will find us a group of friendly, positive and unique people in a great atmosphere at Unity of Lake Orion. Unity practices living a positive and practical life. We believe all lives are special and each of us are blessed by the one power that has created this universe. We also honor all pathways to God, as we know and practice, there is only one God and many ways to worship, know and explore God.
At Unity of Lake Orion we have chosen to serve the community by providing events that are positive and practical, like the markets that were held on our front lawn, our Rent-A-Table Garage Sales, live music at; Live from the Living Room on Friday’s, our Meditation Nights, A/A or Al-non group, our N/A group, A Course in Miracles Group, Yoga Classes, Qi gong classes for Veterans & First Responders and their spouses, Weddings, Showers or Celebration of Life(funeral services), Craft & Vendor Shows, or our Health and Spirituality Festival and also through good, clean,informative, positive and uplifting Facebook posts.
