What an incredible weekend at the Empire Dance Festival IE Contemporary Ballet on September 4th and 5th
at the Box Theater in Riverside produced by Jamie Sach, owner of the Inland Empire Dance Center Inland Empire Dance Center!✨

JSDC Artistic Director and founder of Spectrum Dance Center Janell Burgess Janell Burgess,
led a transformative jazz masterclass that served as a warmup for the dancers at the festival.

The class was nothing short of inspiring, blending beautiful lyrical movement with strong technical jazz foundations.
Janell Burgess is a legacy master jazz dance educator, who always leaves her students feeling inspired with her heartfelt teachings ❤️

Her dedication to fostering culture and connection through movement shines through in every class.

had an incredible time at the Southern California Dance & Choreography Festival SoCal Dance & Choreo Festival
on Saturday, July 25!
Our company member Cara Laughlin Cara Laughlin performed “Breeze,” a lively jazz piece choreographed by our founder, Christine Baltes, to original music by New York composer Andy Monroe, brought joy and smiles to our audience - just as we hoped!😊🌟💃

Our home studio, Spectrum Dance Center’s Spectrum Dance Center Jazz Dance Ensamble
also had the honor of performing an original Baltes work reimagined by Artistic Director Janell Burgess Janell Burgess “8 Plus 2” showcasing the creativity and energy that our dancers bring to the stage.
We are so proud to represent Jazz dance
in such a vibrant and inspiring community!

Jazz Spectrum Dance Company will perform alongside a host of other talented dancers & choreographers throughout SoCal!
The highlight of our performance will be JSDC company member Cara Laughlin Cara Laughlin presenting her solo piece, “Breeze,” originally created by Christine Baltes and Janell Burgess Janell Burgess with a fun lighthearted piece of music by composer & accompanist, Andy Monroe. This classy jazz piece aims to uplift & bring the joy of dance to all audiences!🎶
