A lot of us were introduced to Natalie Daise on the hit children's show, "Gullah Gullah Island" which helped mold and educate a generation of kids from the mid to late 90's.

What you probably didn't know is, before the silver screen, Natalie's passion for creating beautiful works of art was already in full bloom!

Congratulations to our very own Terica Chanale

Welcome to the 2026 Board, Terica Chanale, our very first Partnership & Growth Director!

Terica Gary relocated to Florence, South Carolina, in 2011 from Laurens, SC, bringing with her a strong background in youth/community development and engagement. In 2024 she leveraged her social and networking strengths to support local growth and founded
BlaCoLive Cooperative -Collaborative events planning.

Terica is also the co-founder of Juneteenth Fest, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, supporting, and empowering communities while celebrating the history of freedom in America.

Outside of her professional work, Terica enjoys dancing, hosting, and exploring.

This February, Juneteenth Fest of Thee P*e Dee honors the generations who endured, overcame, and paved the way for us to celebrate our history with pride and purpose. From the sacrifices of our ancestors to the brilliance of today’s creators, leaders, and families, our story continues to inspire hope and unity.
Black history is faith.
Black history is excellence.
Black history is community.
Black history is freedom.
