Jars for Joy came from my want to build something that would be beautiful and bring joy, but also help make an impact in my small but ever growing community in Pike county.
In 2022 it was last recorded, the largest demographic group of people living below the poverty line were females ages 35-44. This being followed by females ages 55-64.
The mothers and grandmothers in my community have been the biggest targets of food insecurity and I want that to change.
Jars of Joy will be donating to the local Care Cabin in Lackawaxen and the Ecumenical Food Pantry of Pike County Pa
We will also be stocking up on women’s toiletries and feminine products to make bags for women’s shelters in the North East Area
Stay tuned for more, the journey has just begun
