Someone attending an event sees the long lines moving quickly, the owners smiling and raking in the dough with everything looking to be a well oiled machine. Thinking, a simple business that probably doesn't require a lot of skill to accomplish just might be my ticket to a better life with that easy money.

What that person doesn't see is the other 75% that actually goes in behind the scenes.
Behind every business, big or small, are more hours than most are willing to work, more sacrifices than the average person can endure and most of the work is done in silence that most will never see.
Bookkeeping, inventory, preparing, cleaning, inspections, research, advertising etc.

Years go into those long lines through building a brand, building yourself and most of all, building relationships!
Relationships are the core to any business and that includes Contacts through Networking and the most important relationship of all is the one with your customer base, especially in a small town.
The skill to the business is knowing how to prepare for each different event, how much inventory to stock and how to read the crowd to keep that machine running smoothly with minimal hiccups.

So when you see any small business and a long line, just know that they have built something that is not repeatable over night and think beyond the money!!
People buy from someone they like, with a solid product that is consistent, and from a place where they feel like they are appreciated and welcome.
