The Back Porch

09/17/2026

I had an opportunity present itself today. I may open another boudior studio. It would be downtown Kingsport. I'd like to talk to y'all about it first. If you'd like to be added to a group message to discuss it let me know.

Officially closed. Thank you all for the good times!

The last day is September 12th

After a lot of thought, we’ve made the bittersweet decision to close The Back Porch as a photography rental space. 🤍
After a lot of thought, we’ve made the bittersweet decision to close The Back Porch as a photography rental space. 🤍

We are SO incredibly thankful for every photographer who has rented the porch, created beautiful images there, shared it with others, and supported us along the way. We have loved seeing all the memories created in that little space!

As our businesses have grown and changed, we’ve realized it’s time to simplify a little, reclaim some of our home, and put our energy into the two spaces we’re most excited about moving forward — The Greenhouse Kingsport and The Studio on Broad.

The Back Porch will remain open for booking through September 12th, and we will, of course, honor all existing bookings as well as any bookings made before we close. So if you’ve been wanting to use the porch one last time, you still have a little time! 🤍

This isn’t really a goodbye… just a little change in direction. 🥹 We have so many plans for both the Greenhouse and the Studio, and we’re excited to pour more of our time, energy, and creativity into making those spaces even better for you.

Thank you for supporting The Back Porch and, more importantly, for continuing to support all of these crazy ideas of ours. 😂 We truly couldn’t do any of it without you.

Here’s to the next chapter. 🤍
