🌀 Workshop Announcement:
Tracing Stories - Through Body, Image & Words
An invitation to reconnect with the stories we carry
Where do our stories reside in the body, and how would they like to take up space?
We're inviting you to "Tracing Stories: Body, Image, Words"—a 3-hour in-person workshop designed for anyone curious to explore themes of identity and memory.
Through the body and our felt sense, we will trace the narratives that live within us.
Moving between free writing, embodied movement, and photography—in various combinations—we’ll explore different ways of connecting to self-expression and storytelling.
We'll be holding a safe, creative and curious space—guided by the breath, the heart's pulse, and the freedom of intuitive movement.
You’ll be invited to experiment with self-portraiture using your mobile camera, supported by a partner if desired. Free writing or journaling will encourage playful language and may serve as connective tissue between movement and photography.
This workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore the layered stories held in the body—led by intuition, care, and heartfelt expression.
Expect a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with generous breaks and group discussions where you can reflect, share, and document your discoveries as a way of deepening connection with yourself and others.
No previous experience in dance, writing, or photography is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Please note: this event will be photographed.

About Esther & Vanio
We are two artists working individually and collaboratively at the intersection of arts and wellbeing—mapping intuitive narratives led by the body and a felt sense of place.
Our workshops offer creative tools that support vulnerability, authenticity, and deep self-expression through photography, movement, and writing. Between us, we have over forty years of experience as artists and facilitators in community projects, private organisations, and educational settings across all levels.
We met in 2023 through the Arts and Health Professional Development Group and connected instantly—artistically and personally. Since then, we've been exchanging ideas, co-creating practices, and experimenting across photography, movement, and writing—both in person and online.
