When we were asked if we would donate a balloon arch for a local event, the answer was an easy yes. Trey and I are always grateful for opportunities to give back to our community!
I planned every detail, prepped everything in advance, and expected a quick, smooth installation. But sometimes, despite our best efforts, things don't go according to plan (not MY plan at least) π₯΄
This piece is honestly my least favorite arch I've ever created. Balloons popped. Placement wasn't right. The final result looked nothing like the vision I had in my head. I was disappointed, frustrated, and far harder on myself than anyone else could have been (and Trey wanted to slap me in the neck for it π€£)
As I stood there focusing on everything that went wrong, God gently reminded me to look at the situation differently.
The lesson wasn't in the archβit was in the process.
I can plan, prepare, and give my absolute best, and things can still fall apart. That doesn't mean I've failed. It doesn't mean I should quit. It means I keep learning, keep growing, and keep showing up.
I almost didn't share this because I wasn't proud of the work. But growth isn't just found in our successes, sometimes it's found in the moments we'd rather hide.
This experience gave me an even stronger desire to improve my craft and make sure situations like this become fewer and farther between. Every setback is an opportunity to get better!
God has my back, and with Him guiding my path, I know I can continue to grow into who I'm meant to be ππΌ
I'm not proud of this arch, but I am proud of the lesson it taught me! π₯°
Big shout out to Taylor Lynn for putting together this event and Holly Rose for her obviously amazing photography skills! π€£β€οΈ
