2 POLICE OFFICERS MURDERED ANOTHER DEPUTY AND K9 INJURED: Two brave officers from the Tremonton Garland Police Department, Utah who lost their lives in the line of duty on August 17th. The officers responded to a domestic disturbance call. While a Police officer spoke with a person reporting a domestic disturbance. The suspect emerged with a firearm. The suspect fired, killing the officer. A second police officer with TGPD responded to assist the first and was immediately fired upon by the same male suspect and was also killed. A third deputy from the Box Elder County Sheriff's Office was also dispatched to assist. As they arrived in the area, the suspect fired several rounds into the deputy's vehicle, striking the deputy and the deputy's police service dog. We also want to wish a speedy recovery to the deputy and police service dog who were injured during the incident. Their bravery and dedication to serving their community are truly inspiring. We appreciate the swift and courageous actions of the responding officers, SWAT teams, and bystanders who helped bring the situation under control. The investigation is ongoing, and our thoughts are with everyone affected by this devastating event. More details will be published when they are available. Prayers sent.
