Thank you to the Keene Lions Club for the kind invitation to be your guest speaker today. It was a pleasure spending time with such a dedicated group. I truly appreciate the warm welcome and the opportunity to share a bit of my journey and passion for magic with so many community-minded individuals.

As I was driving home, I remembered a fun story that I had totally forgotten about. Many years ago, I was performing at one of the annual Great Ashuelot River Duck Race events in Keene. Lion Wally Reney went into a dunk booth. Long story short, someone handed me his pants and asked if I could work them into the show.

At the CONCLUSION of my performance, I emerged from my Houdini trunk wearing Wally’s pants! It was quite a surprise! I’m pretty sure he was “happy” to have his pants back. 🪄👖😤😡🤷🏻‍♂️

As Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” played through speakers in Keene High School’s cafeteria on Saturday, Crew LaPlume clapped his hands and danced alongside his 7-year-old sister Minnie with the vigor only a 4-year-old can muster.
