This June 20-22, downtown Keene will come alive with excitement as it celebrates the 30th anniversary of the iconic film *Jumanji*. The Jumanji Event promises a weekend filled with thrilling activities, nostalgia, and community spirit, drawing fans old and new to honor this beloved classic. The festivities kick off on Friday, June 20, at 6 PM with a glamorous red carpet event at the Colonial Theatre. Attendees will have the chance to step into the world of *Jumanji* with a limo photo op, capturing memories against vibrant backdrops. The evening will continue with a cast party, where fans can mingle and celebrate together, followed by a special proclamation honoring the film's legacy. Saturday, June 21, is packed with activities from 10 AM to 5 PM, starting with an engaging scavenger hunt that runs until 4 PM. This interactive adventure invites participants to explore downtown Keene, uncovering hidden treasures and clues inspired by the film. Approximately 50 local crafters, merchants, and small businesses will set up as vendors throughout the day, creating a vibrant marketplace atmosphere. Animals, parade, inflatable fun run, childrens activities, drummers, performers, music, good food and MORE! The vendors will offer unique merchandise, and crafts. Local restaurants will join in the festivities by serving themed foods, adding to the immersive experience and delighting attendees with creative culinary offerings inspired by *Jumanji*. With various pricing options for local venues, there’s something for everyone, including a special area dedicated to supporting a mental health non-profit. The day will also feature a thrilling fun run at noon, followed by a lively parade at 12:15 PM, celebrating the spirit of *Jumanji* and the community’s creativity. Participants and spectators alike will enjoy the festive atmosphere that envelops downtown Keene. The excitement continues on Sunday, June 22, from 10 AM to 3 PM, with a closing ceremony from 12pm, kindness rock painting in common 10-3, vendors 10 to 3pm and a free photo op with the celebrities at Shadow and soul 1-2:30pm.
