Hurricane Lowell tore through our tiny island this past Monday, Sept 7. In a time like this, it’s hard to find words. It’s hard to know how to feel. Our island has been here before, we are recovering, and we will bounce back but the current devastation is heartbreaking. Then will come the second wave, where businesses feel the effects of cancelled plans and redirected spending in a month, 2 months, then through the holidays. So for today, here I sit. Connected to a generator, sanding the pieces that need to be sanded. Grateful for our safety, our hope, our people, our community, and you our customers. In the midst of all the chaos, I had a bride reach out this morning wanting to preserve her pre-hurricane florals, and I am so thankful for even 1 right now. So we carry on. We are Kaua’i strong 💕
