Who says you can’t have a beautiful, unforgettable wedding on a Monday? Brooke and Alex proved that love doesn’t have to wait for a Saturday—and neither do the people who care about you most. Brooke and Alex are truly meant for each other. ☔✨ Rain or shine, love always shows up. ✨☀️
If there’s one thing we know about Midwest weather, it’s that you have to be ready for anything! For this engagement session, we planned for both rain and sunshine—and somehow, we were lucky enough to get the best of both worlds.
What started with raindrops turned into one of the most fun and memorable sessions. Instead of running from the weather, these two embraced it, laughed through it, and made the most of every moment. The result? Authentic smiles, genuine connection, and photographs that tell their story perfectly.
Rain doesn’t have to ruin your photo session. In fact, some of the most romantic and unique images happen when we lean into the unexpected. The soft light, the dramatic skies, and a couple willing to have fun create pure magic.

Weddings are more than just a party. Sometimes they’re not a party at all. Sometimes they’re simply two people coming together, surrounded by family, to dedicate their lives to one another. And that’s a beautiful thing.

I love that I get to capture those kinds of weddings just as much as the grand celebrations. In fact, I love it when couples planning a more intimate wedding find me.

Because here’s the thing: I don’t charge a “wedding tax.”

If a couple only needs me for a few hours, I don’t see a reason for them to pay for a full wedding photography package. I’m happy to charge the same rate I would for a family session, because often that’s exactly what it feels like—a photo session documenting two families coming together to witness two people becoming husband and wife.

It’s about the people who matter most surrounding the couple, and the couple surrounded by the people they matter most to. Those quiet, meaningful moments deserve to be remembered just as much as the biggest celebrations.

Our indoor cold, spark firework fountains are the perfect addition to your grand entrance, cake, cutting and grand exit at the end of the night. “I wonder what Ruby has been up to?” Tonight Ruby was commissioned to create a large, Live Art instillation at one of Kansas City’s HOTTEST night club, Laila Lounge on 9th Street in Kansas City’s West Bottoms. This girl is on FIRE!!! We are so proud of Ruby and are so blessed to feature her as Picture This! Wedding’s Live Artist! If you can believe it, she completed this piece in an HOUR and a half! It will be Auctioned off at 1:30 am tonight… I guess that means tomorrow!

What a wonderful way to spend an evening! Helping finalize the plans for their June 15 wedding, Brooke and Alex invited me along to help plan for Photos, Video, and content creation. I couldn’t be more elated than to work at this amazing wedding venue, the Glasshouse at Rivers Oaks. This brand new wedding venue spared no expense to create a fairytale, yet classic at the same time, wedding venue. I can’t wait to take more couples to tour this breathtaking wedding and reception location.
