We love when competitions are set up in cool locations, and Union Station is definitely a cool location for a competition. The Big Blue BBQ Competition was a 1st year competition setup right down by the train tracks, and was a well organized, fun event.

After a great Mexican dinner at El Patron Cocina and Bar and a pour of rum from Pierpont's at Union Station we got to bed so we could get up early and put the Royal Oak Charcoal to work pleasing the judges.

In the end, we finished:

4th Smart Chicken
5th Prairie Fresh Pork ribs
6th pork
2nd brisket

Good for 5th overall!

Congrats to Poppin' Smoke BBQ on their first GC, and the Hall of Famer, Parrothead on RGC, and everyone who heard their name called!

Thanks to our sponsors for keeping us going this year
