Hawaiʻi Island Steel Guitar Festival The Hawaiʻi Steel Guitar Festival is a free 2-day festival developed to promote and perpetuate appreciation and interest in the Hawaiian Steel Guitar.

Annual Hawaiian music festival showcasing the Hawaiian Steel Guitar and presented by Mauna Lani Auberge Resorts Collection on Hawaiʻi Islandʻs Kohala Coast and produced by HIMELE. teel guitar masters, workshops, open stage performances, exhibits, kanikalila jam sessions, and hands-on opportunities for festival guests. The Hawaii Steel Guitar Festival will be held on November 10-12, 2017, at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii. If you are planning to attend the 2024 Hawai'i Steel Guitar Experience at Mauna Lani on November 21-24, reservations are now open. The festival rate is the same as the Hawai'i resident Kama'aina Rate. You can make reservations online or by calling the resort directly and specifying the code HSGF. Our Story

The Hawaiʻi Island Steel Guitar Festival is a free 2 1/2-day festival developed to promote and perpetuate appreciation and interest in the Hawaiian Steel Guitar. The festival is planned to include a series of performances by Hawaiian steel guitar masters, workshops, and open stage performances. The festival is presented by Mauna Lani Auberge Resorts Collection and produced by Hawaii Institute for Music Enrichment and Learning Experiences (HIMELE). Funding provided by Hawai‘i Tourism through the Community Enrichment Program and the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts through appropriations from the Legislature of the State of Hawaii and by the National Endowment for the Arts. The Hawaiʻi Island Steel Guitar Festival is held annually in November at the Mauna Lani Auberge Resorts Collection on the Kohala Coast of Hawaiʻi.
