The Powerdale Hydroelectric Project was a 6-megawatt facility located on Oregon's Hood River, run by PacifiCorp from 1923 until 2006. After a major flood damaged the pipeline that year, the dam and related infrastructure were torn down in 2010 to revive vital habitats for Chinook salmon, steelhead, and bull trout.

And before anyone asks, there were no doors so no “breaking and entering” occurred. We just entered 🤣

Yesterday was a three-mountain day in Oregon. We decided to take a scenic drive into the gorge and found something crazy (pics to come)- but first, we stopped at a panorama viewpoint and caught Mount Hood in all its glory, with Mount Adams barely poking out (FINALLY).

One last video looking back on the literal coolest thing I’ve ever done in my entire life. To this day, I look back on these photos and videos and think, “wow. I really jumped into the middle of the Pacific Ocean, at night, without a life jacket. AND I LIVED.”

Remember that sunset boat ride? Yeah, well..after the sun went over the horizon and left us in utter darkness, Logan and I jumped off said boat with no life jackets (the only ones on the boat) or wet suits (because, why?!) to swim with giant reef manta rays 🤣👊🏻 AND we survived. Had a hell of a time, too and we’d both do it again! Take THAT for punching life in the face!!

After the sky opened on us, we all took off running and gathered under a shelter to hear the rest of our story from Ranger John. Then he gave us his phone number and over the next couple of days, he sent me well over 50 pictures and/or video of Kīlauea erupting over the past year 😍
