Hi friends! Long time no talk.
The last few months have been enlightening and one thing is for sure.....
It is time for me to start making food again.
However, I'm still trying to figure out what that means.
Meal prep? Hot food at Empire? Or does this need to become a community service? I think it may be the right time to launch a real change in how we shop, eat, and function in the food space.
Classes? Community meals? Sustainability education?
We shall see....More info to come soon!

Hi friends! I know I've been quiet for a minute, there's been a ton going on! Fall is finally in the works and real life has just been...well, real.
So I'm stepping out of the food game, for a bit and possibly permanently, at least as a full-time thing.
With the holidays looming, you can still absolutely message me about catering, personal chef services and private events, but I won't be doing any markets or weekly menus for the foreseeable future.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me. You are all wonderful people and I hope you continue to support small local business! You will still see me around, I'm not going anywhere :)
And to the ones who watch my page and site, just waiting for me to quit or fail....I am not done, and you haven't "won". There are infinitely more important things than money, and if that is the measure of success to you, I fell more sorry for you than you could possibly conceive, and I hope you have the day(and the life) that you've earned and deserve.

Perfect Pastas-wheat or gluten free pasta, Hearty Veggie Marinara(vegan), Parmesan Cream, Red & White(half marinara/half parm cream) AND Purple Chin Condiment Co Italian Pesto! JR makes his pesto fresh with basil from Blackberry Moon Produce and I'm really excited to finally collaborate with them both!
There's also hand-rolled Meatballs and fresh Breadsticks, both made FROM SCRATCH, by me, and never frozen!
Exclusively at Joplin Empire Market this Saturday I'll also have Meatball Subs, Pesto Caprese Grilled Sourdough Sammies along with made-to-order individual Pasta Bowls and Breadstick Triple Dippers!
Be sure to come to the Newton Kitchen window #2(next to Nan Made), I'll be IN the kitchen, not at a booth!

Sorry for the late post, but I'm taking a well-earned break this week from Joplin Empire Market! I haven't taken a Saturday off since April, so yeah it's time.

There's a Italian Grinder Chicken Salad that is super tasty, and PICKLE HUMMUS!!!!! Plus Pesto Pasta Salad that's gluten/meat free!
But don't worry, Pimento Cheese is still there! If you need your pimento fix before Saturday, head over to Downtown Burgers, their special this week is a Pimento Cheese Burger!
