We’ve been a little quiet lately…

After wrapping up The Garden Affair, celebrating the end of the school year, spending time with family, and enjoying a much-needed vacation, I’ve been taking a moment to recharge and refocus.

Of course, if you’re an event planner, your brain never really takes a vacation.

While everyone else was enjoying the festival, I was measuring tents, studying flooring solutions, watching guest flow, and asking myself one question:

“How can we bring experiences like this to our community?”

Because inspiration is everywhere when you do what you love.

Behind the scenes, planning never stopped. In fact, fall and winter are shaping up to be Wrapped in a Bow’s busiest season yet. From community events and festivals to private celebrations, holiday gatherings, galas, and immersive experiences, our calendar is quickly filling from September through January.

This summer is all about organizing, planning, creating, and preparing for everything that’s ahead.

And trust me… there are some exciting things in the works that we can’t wait to share with you.

📣Some exciting news…📣

While we’ve been quietly working behind the scenes, we’re thrilled to officially share that Wrapped in a Bow is part of the planning team bringing Oktoberfest at the Riverwalk to Downtown Jacksonville this October.

This event will feature live entertainment, vendors, food, family activities, a beer garden and so much more as we transform the Riverwalk into a weekend celebration for our community.

Planning events of this scale is exactly why we do what we do and we’re excited to help bring another unforgettable experience to Eastern North Carolina.

Events like this don’t happen without the people working behind the scenes.

We want to take a moment to recognize Ashley and the team at Wrapped in a Bow for the incredible work they’re putting into Oktoberfest at the Jacksonville Riverwalk.

From vendor coordination and event layouts to permitting, planning, logistics, and overall event management, Ashley has been a major part of helping bring this event to life.

Wrapped in a Bow is known throughout our area for high-end event planning and decorating, creating experiences that feel polished, intentional, and memorable—and that same level of care is being poured into this event.

A lot of people will see the music, food, and entertainment.

But the real magic is in the planning that happens long before the first guest arrives.

The event may be over… but behind the scenes the next chapter is already in motion 🎀

Late nights. Planning meetings. Concepts evolving. Timelines shifting. Creative ideas turning into real experiences. So many moving parts that nobody ever sees but they’re the reason the magic feels effortless when it all comes together.

Something new is quietly taking shape over here at Wrapped in a Bow… and I have a feeling this next season is going to be something special.

At this point if it’s themed, immersive, dramatic, elegant, whimsical, mysterious, holiday-inspired, or feels even slightly like stepping into another world… I’m immediately obsessed 🤩

Honestly, themed experiences are just too fun not to love.

The outfits.
The atmosphere.
The details.
The storytelling.
The feeling of escaping reality for a few hours and fully stepping into a different vibe altogether ✨

My brain is basically just one giant collection of event concepts at this point… and somehow the ideas keep getting bigger 🤗

Lately, life has looked a lot like venue walkthroughs, planning meetings, moodboards, late-night ideas, coffee-fueled brainstorming and creative chaos and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way!

There’s something incredibly special about watching an idea slowly transform into an experience people will remember forever.

The atmosphere.
The details.
The reactions when guests first step into a space.
The laughter, conversations, and memories created throughout the evening ✨

That’s the part I truly love most about what I do.

Not just planning events…
but creating core memory experiences people can feel long after the night ends.

And lately, the inspiration behind what’s next has been feeling bigger than ever 👏🙌🎉

Most people see the final event.

They see the candlelight, the atmosphere, the performances, the finished ballroom and the magic of the evening itself ✨

What they don’t see are the notes scattered everywhere, the venue walkthroughs, the late-night ideas, the planning meetings, the creative chaos and the constant dreaming that happens long before the doors ever open.

And honestly… that part never really stops!

One of my favorite parts of being an event planner is walking into an empty space and immediately beginning to imagine what it could become. ✨

The atmosphere.The guest experience.The details.The transformation.

Even while we are still reliving the magic of The Garden Affair, planning and dreaming for future events is already underway behind the scenes!

Today was spent walking through a beautiful venue for an upcoming gala and moments like these always remind me how much I truly love creating immersive and meaningful experiences for others.

Every event begins with a vision long before guests ever walk through the doors 🤩

Every corner of The Garden Affair was designed with intention. ✨
From the candlelit tables and layered textures to the florals, teacups and elegant touches woven throughout the ballroom, this evening was created to feel immersive, romantic, and unforgettable.

Some of the most beautiful moments weren’t just the grand reveals they were the small details guests stopped to admire along the way 🌷

The Garden Affair was truly a world of its own for one magical day and we are still so grateful for everyone who stepped into the experience with us.
