🇺🇸 Proud to support the Avenue of Flags 🇺🇸

Our Jackson Noon Optimist Club members gathered together to present a $500 donation to the Avenue of Flags at Cape County Park. We’re grateful for the dedicated volunteers who help maintain this beautiful and meaningful tribute to our veterans and our country.

Members of the Jackson Noon Optimist club delivered snacks and drinks to Jackson Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Jackson Fire Departments #1 and #2. This is just a small token of appreciation for all these brave men and women do to keep our community safe. Thank you!

This is such special organization that very few people know about! We had the honor of having them at our club today to receive a $4000 check as a recipient of our annual focus project. As Optimists we always try to bring out the best in youth and community, organizations like this are committed to doing the same. Thank you for all you do for the youth in our community and those around us Sleep in Heavenly Peace - MO, Perry Co❤️

Today I had the privilege of sharing the mission of Sleep in Heavenly Peace with the Jackson Noon Optimist Club, Jackson, MO.

We are incredibly humbled and grateful to have been selected as the recipient of their 2026 Focus Project. Their commitment to improving the lives of children aligns beautifully with our mission of ensuring that no kid sleeps on the floor in our town.

The Jackson Noon Optimist Club was proud to present a $2,000 donation to Nolan Strickland in support of his Eagle Scout project.

Nolan, an outstanding young man, raised the necessary funds, designed the project, and will dedicate a memorial on July 3 at Jackson City Cemetery honoring 145 local Jackson veterans. We are honored to support his efforts to preserve the legacy and sacrifice of those who have served our country.

The Optimist Club of Jackson and the Jackson Noon Optimist recently held an essay contest for 6th graders at Jackson R-2, Immaculate Conception and St. Paul Lutheran. Today the winners of that contest had the opportunity to participate in Respect for Law Day, giving them a glimpse into the many roles involved in the justice system and public safety.

The students toured the Jackson Police Department, the Jackson Fire Department, talked to Missouri Conservation Agents, watched a K9 demonstration from the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Department, and spoke with Missouri Highway Patrol. They toured the Cape Girardeau County Courthouse and met with two judges.

Everyone enjoyed this fun day!

Youth Day at Government: where future leaders learn how laws are made… and how long it takes to decide literally anything!!!

Our students showed up ready to debate, lead, and maybe sneak in a few snacks during “important discussions.”

All jokes aside, these young leaders represented the true spirit of optimism—using their voices, thinking big and proving the future is in very capable hands (even if they’d filibuster bedtime if given the chance).
