Students from Jackson Middle School and Immaculate Conception School participated in the Jackson Noon Optimist Respect for Law contest. They wrote essays that were then used to choose students to spend the day with Local Law enforcement, learning more about operations and day-to-day activities.

Participants toured the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Office, the Jackson Police Department, and the Jackson Fire Department. They heard presentations from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri Conservation agents, and the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit. Students ended the afternoon by having lunch at the Sheriff's Office.
