All you need is love...

And CAKE!

Why is wedding cake just a little more sweet than anything else? I don’t know... maybe that’s just me.

If you’re planning your wedding and looking for some cost effective great ideas, here’s what I’ve got for ya...

🧁 Buy a one (or two😋) tier cake for you and your love, and for your guests you can hand out slices of sheet cake or cupcakes! Super cost effective and can be prepped in the back by your catering team or volunteers

🧁 If you’re going DIY, it’s super simple to make your own creation! Actually, the cake in this photo is from a grocery store. We brought it back home, scraped off some of the chocolate shavings and excess frosting, then added our own magical touches to it. All in all, $20 for the cake, $8 for the florals. Made the perfect treat for two😍

🧁 Maybe you’re not a cake person! But you do love other sweet treats. Cookie tables (especially with cookies from ), donut walls, or even candy tables are a great option as well! Choose something that speaks to you as a couple- and if that’s a treat bag and a table full of your favorite candies the go for it! (Bonus: the candy table with treat bags doubles as a take home gift for your guests!)

We’re big dessert people over here.

PSA: It’s okay to do things you love.

I promise, it’s not selfish.

Being a fellow guilt-ridden female, I used to feel so shameful for spending time or money on myself or my business, and not necessarily because I didn’t think I was worth it. But more because I didn’t want to be selfish.

Let me be the first to say, PLEASE don’t believe those lies.

Do I believe there needs to be balance? 100%. Of course.

But it’s okay to do things you love simply BECAUSE YOU LOVE THEM.

💍Brides, that means do what you WANT for your wedding. The only opinions that matter about your wedding are yours and your future hubby’s.

💋Business gals, that means that it’s OKAY and if I may be so bold to say, ENCOURAGED to bring your whole heart and soul into your business. Invest your time and your money. Learn. Grow. Get connected.

To be fully known and fully loved...

Honestly? It can probably seem overwhelming. That amount of vulnerability is a hard place to get to.
But when you do? Man. It’s so, so sweet.

When I think about being fully known and loved, I think about my sweet husband and the way he knows ALL of my faults but still loves me, even when it’s difficult.

And then I stop and think again.

If my husband, who is just a man, can love me that way, how much more does the God who CREATED me love me?

Talk about overwhelming.

How much do you think the God who created EVERYTHING loves you? He sees every part of you, good and bad, and he say...

“Yeah, you know what. She is DEFINITELY worth it.”

He loves you. He sees you.

You are fully known and fully loved.

+ are our FIRST EVER clients... *BIG round of applause*

We are so excited to help them capture their dream wedding in May. From prep meetings over Zoom, to text messages about yard games, it’s clear that these two are going to have such A PARTY on their special day.

Fun fact: said her biggest dream for her wedding was to actually have time to play the yard games with her future hubby.

And it’s GONNA HAPPEN, girl.

We are so excited for this special union and can’t wait to send these two off well into a strong and loving marriage!

Meet our Photographer and the other half of K+L, !!

Hi friend! I’m TaylorRae - the desert-dwelling, fake redhead behind the camera with a TRUE love for chicken nuggets.

Working as a part of Known and Loved Weddings means I get to be a part of so many amazing couples’ days, spend most of the day by every one of brides’ sides, and get to know them and serve them to their unique needs! So I guess we can spend just a bit minute chatting about me:

Some of my favorite things are hot chocolate, thrifting, crafting, singing WAY too loudly, and hanging out with my very best friend, Joshua AKA my husband and wedding videographer partner. I am blessed with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a full-time job as a behavioral health tech, and ultimately, my heart is for serving Jesus and people.

Pursuing photography is a gift because of the unique ways I get to serve people through it. Listen: I KNOW you probably aren't that comfortable in front of a camera (such few people are)! I understand that photographing people is so much more than taking pretty photos; it's making the people who have trusted me in their most special moments feel comfortable, beautiful, and loved from behind the lens.
