✨ A Much-Anticipated Recap of Our Last Fellowship Friday Business Dinner Before Summer Break - Community Give-Back✨
On May 15th, we gathered for our final Fellowship Friday Business Dinner before taking our annual summer break. (Don't worry—we'll be back in August, and we can't wait to see everyone then!)
This dinner was especially meaningful because it centered around our May Community Give Back initiative.
In light of the tragic loss of local business owner David Mohr and Storm Distillery, we partnered with Coast 2 Coast Outdoor Solutions LLC to select the Mohr family as our Community Give Back recipient for the month of May.
When grief enters someone's life, they're not only faced with the heartbreak of losing a loved one, but also the overwhelming number of decisions and responsibilities that suddenly fall on their shoulders. With that in mind, we organized a gift card collection for local restaurants and eateries, hoping to ease at least one small burden as the family navigates their new normal.
And wow... our Fellowship Friday family showed up.
It was an emotional evening from the very beginning. As the donations continued to come in, our total climbed from $575... to $605... to $645...
And just when I thought I couldn't be any more amazed or proud of this group, another donation came in, bringing our final total to an incredible $700!
I am beyond grateful to know so many amazing businesses and individuals in our community. Watching everyone come together to support another local business family in their time of need is something far more powerful than words can adequately express.
Thank you to every single person who donated gift cards, monetary gifts, and support for the Mohr family. Your kindness made a real difference.
Last Friday, Callie owner of Southern Remedy LLC and Amanda, co-owner of Coast 2 Coast Outdoor Solutions, met with Mrs. Mohr at a local coffee shop to present the donations we collected together.
What followed was a truly heartfelt visit. We spent a couple of hours simply talking, getting to know one another, and hearing the story of how the distillery came to be. What an incredible journey David and his family built together, and what a remarkable legacy they have created. It was an honor to spend that time with her.
We also extended an invitation for her to join us at one of our upcoming dinners, and assured her of the warm welcome she would receive from our Fellowship Friday family.
Following our visit, Mrs. Mohr shared photos of a beautiful collage she created as a thank you—a touching reminder of just how much this community support meant to their family.
What an incredible way to close out our Fellowship Friday season before summer break.
