Both these women are incredible.. and do so much for the community. You see so much of their work all around town. But I promise there is so, so much more going on behind the scenes. Serious art advocates. Can't appreciate them enough.

Loved seeing so many familiar faces! (Hope to be back next year bigger and better!)

Thank you so much to 10 East Arts for this opportunity.

As a selected artist for 2026; I will be showing not only new ( non-floral ) works I have been studying and devoting myself to the past year. But also introducing new artists, dragging some out of retirement, and celebrating seasoned vets in our art community for;
ⓈⒽⓄⓌ ⓎⓄⓊⓇ ⓌⓄⓇⓀ

I cannot wait to gather for opening night; Monday the 27th to show off this vast breadth of work. Prepared to be dazzled by personalities that are still somehow outshined by their artistic capabilities.

Wednesday the 29th we will reopen our doors to the public; providing intentional activities for the community. Come experience floristry in the most essential and pragmatic manner. With lots else to explore!

Friday May 1st; May Day, we'll be wrapping the show up with sounds from GreenHouse & a chance to meet all the participating artists. Snacks, vibes, and good community will be available all night. Works purchased during the week can be picked up at 9:00pm this evening; so stick around til the end with us!

As always; a huge thank you to uncle dooodles👩🏿‍🎨 for organizing so much good for our community; and knowing from a young age there was more to life than being really, really ridiculously good looking.. Thank you for making our city more beautiful!

A huge thank you to the entire team at & everyone that makes Art In Bloom possible.

While wasn't able to be there physically to run her event; she was there every second in spirit. While all these florists take great pride in their work.. I saw how much Erin inspires us all this week, and saw many step up to take care of what she's created for us all. She's literally one of the most important gems in this city; we're so lucky to have her.

Thank you to the horticulture team & the orchid house for the extra blooms that made my class & others extra special. Especially who made 2 entire showstoppers, gorgeous arrangements all around the museum, and little details all come together.

A shout out to & .j.day for hours & hours of paper mache to make this piece come together. Thank you so much for all the mental support.. especially when I didn't realize I was huffing glue. These guys have had so much on their shoulders but still made sure my project was a huge priority.

A huge amount of recognition to my late father; Dave Carrington. Without inheriting his cichlids & tank hobby.. I know this assignment wouldn't have turned out like this. But as fresh water fish keeping has become a passion, I knew I needed to highlight the essential wildlife that keeps this famous garden's pond thriving.

Thank you to all my friends and family that believed in me, fed me, checked in, came out to the show, and so much more. I can't wait for what's next!

Rooted in her background as a florist, Dominique M. Carrington curates the way she builds an arrangement. She is attentive to balance, contrast, structure, and the negative space between forms. With Show Your Work, she gathers artists who are pillars of the community, each representing a distinct facet of our creative ecosystem. As in floral design, no single stem carries the composition. Tension and harmony work together to create something whole.
The exhibition centers traditional craft and fine art processes. It honors fingerprints, pressure, repetition, and the labors that leave residue behind. Influenced by the philosophy of kintsugi, the show embraces impermanence and imperfection. It values honesty, ephemera, and the visible traces of making. Rather than conceal effort, the work allows the artist’s actions to remain present, forming a collective arrangement shaped by process and held together by the strength of each stem.
